In 1988 I began what was to become a life long passion - Real Estate! I became licensed to sell real estate in 1988 and just fell in love with helping people buy and sell property. It can be a very rewarding career and I have loved almost every minute of it. I have been affiliated with 4 different companies over the last 20 years. I started with a small independent company and then joined Coldwell Banker. After a few years at CB, I branched out to RE/MAX where I spent many years. In 2004, my business partner and I purchased a Realty World Franchise. Being a business owner in today's real estate market can be challenging, but still worth it. I still enjoy it. We currently have 11 agents and while we are not the biggest agency in town, we like to think we are the best. Our motto is "We are NOT #1, You are!" We feel that we are more of a "boutique" agency and as such, we are better able to devote more quality time to our clients. We are located in a suburb of Hartford, CT and we do see alot of people relocating in and out of our area. Hartford was once the insurance captial of the world and still has many insurance companies. Other large companies that relocate people in and out of the area are United Technologies (UTC)& IBM. We have not seen the decrease in prices that some parts of the country have experienced, but we didn't have the big increases in the boom years either. Our market is a little softer than it had been, but there is still activity. Buyers are buying and sellers are selling and that's what it's all about. |
